So April has been a bit of a whirlwind really! I got nominated for Best Newcomer in the Bloggers Bash awards! I have taken part in a lot of cover reveals, book blitz and even done some book reviews. I have met some wonderful bloggers (only on the internet mind you), won a couple of books, got a lot of book post, spoken to a few authors and just loved every single minute of it. I have only been doing this for 3 months but feels like so much longer.
Aside from reading, it was my birthday at the beginning of the month, so took my little lady to Chessington with my friend and her husband-to-be and then we had some adult time in the evening.
The soldier boy came home mid-April after being away for 2 months so the little lady was over the moon. She woke up at 3am when he got home, cheered his name and then passed out straight away again.
It was also the month we found out what school the little lady will start in September, we didn’t get our first choice but I think that it has worked out better in the long run for us, but it means she won’t be so little anymore. *sob*
We also treated the little lady to the cinema for the first time to see Peter Rabbit, but bless her she is too small for the seat so nearly fell through the gaps a few times.
To end my month it was the second of my best friends’ hen party so I travelled back home to Watford and we went out in London, somehow I managed to avoid a hangover – god knows how at my age!
Yet as this is about my April reading… I have news… that’s right I have managed to complete a monthly challenge I set!! I was over the moon! Although to be fair I had to read these for the blog tours but I did manage to read a book not included in the blog tour, so even better!
