Battling the elements with Elemental Claim by Miranda Grant
So I was asked by the author Miranda Grant if I wanted to read her book Elemental Claim in return for an honest and unbiased review and I agreed. I mean I had only just started to my blogging and a published author had contacted me. I mean who was I to say no, anyway like normal I digress.
So I am only 5% of the book, bit early to review I hear you say and yes I would agree. I wanted to share my thoughts already!
I won’t bore you with the blurb as I know how some people hate that but you can read it here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/37766658-elemental-claim
I must admit the first couple of pages took me two attempts but that is probably because my brain was not switched on when I first started it. (Chicken pox taking over the little one and the soldier off on some travels slightly distracting). This book has everything for someone who loves the ever popular paranormal romances with vampires, werewolves, witches and feys to name a few. We are thrown straight in to the story which is great as we do not have to wait 6 chapters before things start! The pace is fast and the book is intriguing, I need to know what Emma is! What is her dog? Who are the Elementalists? What is a descendant? How old is Rogan?!?!?!!?!?
Fate has been tempted early on as the author writes
He has not failed for the last twenty-nine operations and he was determined to make it a solid thirty
Hmmm……I don’t think so! He has been set up for a fail, something is bound to go wrong.
On that note, I am off to read a bit more of this book that will capture you hook line and sinker if nothing more just so you get answers!
